Managing Stress & Anxiety Presentation

Recently I was asked to present a talk by GROW in McCauley Place in Naas, Co. Kildare. The topic of the talk was Managing Stress and Anxiety.

The 2 hour talk looked at what stress and anxiety are, what causes it – from the perspective of evolutionary psychology and neuro-biology, the impact of stress and anxiety and what to do about it.

The feedback from Clodagh Erasmus, the Mental Wellbeing Community Education Officer for Grow on the Managing Stress & Anxiety presentation can be found below:

“Thanks Allan for a great talk on Managing Stress & Anxiety. The feedback from the group was that your talk was very easy to listen to, your explanations were very clear and easy to understand. People really enjoyed how you brought humour into the talk, allowing for a heavy subject to be easier to discuss. Your straight talking was appreciated and allowed people feel comfortable and they could relate to what you were saying. Overall your natural style and layman terminology allowed the audience to relax and everyone walked away with a lot of new knowledge and coping tips. I would highly recommend Allan and appreciate the time and effort he gave us.”
