Session Format
Kildare Psychotherapy offers private, professional therapy sessions in Kildare for adults and adolescents, both in person and online. Sessions are conducted in a confidential, non-judgemental environment and tailored to individual needs by an accredited therapist.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and is typically held once per week. Therapy may be short-term (6–12 sessions) or open-ended depending on your needs. This is reviewed periodically as part of the therapeutic process.
- In-Person: at the practice in Kildare Town (Teach Dara Resource Centre, R51 D803)
- Online: via secure video (Microsoft Teams)
- Telephone: available in some circumstances
Who Can Attend Therapy
Therapy may be helpful if you’re experiencing any of the following:
- Anxiety, stress or panic
- Low mood, depression or motivation issues
- Relationship or attachment difficulties
- Autism or ADHD-related concerns
- Low self-esteem or identity issues
- Past trauma or unresolved emotional pain
Fees and Payment
Session Fee: €60 per 50-minute session
Cancellation Policy: 48 hours’ notice is required. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged at the full fee.
Depending on your health insurance provider and policy, you may be eligible to claim some of your session fees. Clients are advised to check directly with their insurer.
Confidentiality
All sessions are confidential and conducted in accordance with the IACP Code of Ethics and GDPR guidelines. Confidentiality may only be breached in cases of serious risk to life, child protection concerns, or legal obligation.
What to Expect
Your first session will focus on understanding your reasons for seeking therapy, discussing your goals, and outlining how we will work together. There’s no expectation to share anything you’re not ready for. Sessions proceed at your pace.
